Housing & Neighborhood Preservation receives and reviews funding or approval requests for projects that maintain or expand affordable housing opportunities. 

Our Housing Development division coordinates City review of applications for funding opportunities that may be available for owners and developers wishing to build or maintain affordable housing.

We also administer the City’s Workforce Housing Program, which incentivizes developers to increase the supply of workforce housing in Virginia Beach.
