General contractors are needed for Housing & Neighborhood Preservation’s home rehabilitation projects
General contractors specializing in home rehabilitation are invited to register for opportunities to submit proposals for our Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program (OORP) projects.
Through the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program, grants and loans are provided to eligible low- to moderate-income homeowners to help make necessary home rehabilitation more affordable. Examples of rehabilitation work include replacing HVAC systems, roofs, siding, and windows; correcting critical electrical, gas, and plumbing hazards; accessibility and usability modifications and improvements; and more.
Contractors must be licensed Class A or B contractors registered in Virginia. Only approved contractors registered with Housing & Neighborhood Preservation are eligible to submit proposals for the department’s OORP projects.
To apply to the Department of Housing & Neighborhood Preservation’s Active Contractor Registry, contact Jill Rinaldo by phone at 757-385-5834 or via email at jirinald@vbgov.com
